Allow pasting images from the clipboard

Allow pasting an image directly from the clipboard. (On mac, ctrl+command+shift+4). Other chat systems do this by catching that the paste is an image and dropping it into a file upload dialog.

We know this is coming in a tad late, but better late than never.

This has been addressed and works on macOS High Sierra for both mac app and browsers. Hope you enjoy this one!

        Hi Admin,
I tried exactly what you send and it still doesn't work on my Mac running HighSierra. I also deleted the app and reinstalled it. It still doesn't work.

Did this get pushed as an update the the Mac app? I still can't do it this morning...been waiting for this for a while.

Hopefully fixing all the crashes on the mobile app.

how many votes do we need to get this prioritized? What's in queue ahead of this?

      • Anonymous commented  ·

4 years! Whoooo!!! Please make this more of a priority. Managing the constant mess of screenshots just for flowdock uploading is really getting old!

We have validated this is currently a limitation in the product. We may consider it for future development, but it currently has not been prioritized for development any time soon.

I cannot do this on Windows 10. What am I missing?

This works fine on Windows and Ubuntu Linux. Seems to be only a Mac issue.

Please implement this on Mac version of app. It would save so much time and headache

      • Matt Potter commented  ·

+ please... come on you know you want to implement this 8^)

Total fail here. Can we even get a response on this? Does there need to be another ticket made that specifically calls out OS X? Just browsing completed requests it's interesting that you have found the time to create a meme generator and respond a large number of requests for emojis but we still can't paste an image! This is a constant frustration that should be a no brainer in 2017!

Bump. This is a critical feature!

This works great from windows, but i've not had this work on mac at all. In contrast github pasting works fine. Any way to get this fixed.

So... people have been requesting this feature for 2,5 years and still not in? Should be pretty simple to implement :(

      • Anonymous commented  ·

The fact that this doesn't work on the Mac App is ridiculous. It works in the chrome app, but I use this feature so much on Hangouts / Jabber that I will not be migrating to this.
