        I absolutely need this as a place I can drop one or two URLs that flow members should be aware of, like a general wiki or an important reminder about upcoming news, or something like that.

        I agree with Tony. In addition to being more volatile, a topic [should be] more immediately and pervasively visible.

        To me, a topic would be used more like a "sticky post" on a message board. For example, my employer used the topic in Campfire to communicate things like:

        * Timestamp of the most recent deploy
        * Reminders when accounting needs to receive timecards from hourly employees
        * Notices when free food was available around the office
        * Other general reminders (ie: "Office Closed on Monday"), etc.

        @Jeff

        I would think descriptions (which usually wouldn't change often, if at all once set) would be different than topics (which would be more volatile).

        There's already a Flow Description. It's just not visible anywhere, other than the Flow settings page.

        This. This times a million.

        +1

        would be handy to keep track of team based priorities (example. having a weekly deploy manager that rotates, could throw who's current "on" in the title so it's easy to quickly see who's up)
