I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Bots should be able to provide pre-written responses that users can click on (buttons)

    A bot like hubot should be able to provide pre-written responses to its queries. For instance:
    hubot: Do you like bananas or apples more?
    (apples) (bananas)

    • Add pipelines support to Jenkins plugin

      Jenkins CI is inevitably moving to the Pipeline workflow, and because of enormous benefits it offers comparing to Point&Click workflow, it'll be great if Flowdock plugin can support it.
      Unfortunately, it's not in the Jenkins team short list https://github.com/jenkinsci/pipeline-plugin/blob/master/COMPATIBILITY.md, and it will be great if CA can step in and add Pipelines support to the Flowdock plugin.

      • Slash with Autocomplete for Chat Bots

        As someone who frequently uses a chatbot (Hubot) with Flowdock, it can be time consuming to find an appropriate chatbot commands (ex. hubot help pug bomb me) and type just the right syntax. It would be awesome if Flowdock supported loading a list of chatbot commands (ex. hubot help) that auto filtered as you typed. This would help both with 1) discoverability of chatbot commands and 2) writing commands using the correct syntax. This could be implemented as a slash (/) command, whereby any native or 3rd party commands are listed after pressing / and refined as the user types…

          • Display in the UI who added a tag in a flow

            On my team, tags are being used to be anonymously abusive to other team members. The only way to see who is doing it is for an admin through the API, assuming the tag hasn't been deleted.

            Clearly, this wasn't the intent of tags and I believe this behavior would immediately stop if endusers were able to see who added a tag.

            • Hide inactive flow until next activity

              As we are using a lot of different flows which are only occasional used I would appreciate an option to temporarily hider (archive) flows until there is any new activity in that flow.

                • Add user profile fields for introduction and location (Or possibility for admins to create additional custom fields)

                  When working on a very large project with hundreds of other developers, designers and other roles, organized into several teams working on different features, in several different locations internationally, it would be very helpful to be able to know who and where your teammates are and what they are working on. It would also help to find the right person to talk to about a specific issue when needed.

                  Specifically, user introduction and location, but role and team name would also be useful information.

                  I am sure this would be a helpful feature even for smaller organizations, as well.

                  • Add feature in Rally integration that automatically updates the associated Rally artifact's revision history.

                    My community of users have expressed concerns that the integration between Rally and FD does not serve them as well as expected. Currently, all changes made in Rally are reflected in the FD INBOX. However, any chats/discussion made in FD do not save in the Discussion forum or Revision History in Rally. The linkage is not truly bi-directional as purported.

                    Why does this ERP not offer this feature? Competitive products (Atlassian JIRA) do store these exchanges and email exchanges in the revision history.

                    When can we expect this as a feature?

                    • Invert the flow (discussion) to read top-down, not bottom-up. Most social media sites post updates at top of screen.

                      Invert the flow (discussion) to read top-down, not bottom-up. Most social media sites, Twitter/Facebook and email utilities post new updates at top of screen. Your inbox shows activity top-down, why not add this functionality to new posts to load top-down? Can this be set as a user preference to read top-down or bottom-up? The default seems cumbersome.

                      • Support Sending A Message to a Thread in Hubot Adapter

                        As someone who frequently uses and created chatbot (Hubot) commands for use with Flowdock, I would love the ability to reply to a Flowdock thread from the Hubot Adapter. This is useful when replying to a thread after a period of time (ex. after a build finishes) so that the entire msg context doesn't need to be stored so it can be used with the messageRoom function. Basically, would like a messageThread function.

                            • Disable automatic text conversions inside pre-formatted text

                              I know Flowdock tries to be helpful by converting quotes, sequential dashes into em-dashes, etc. but this is not helpful when done inside pre-formatted text. e.g. if I am trying to send a command like `do_the_thing --option foo`, converting it to `do_the_thing —option foo` (note — vs. -- before option) will generally break the command when the recipient runs it.

                              As a general rule it would be great if Flowdock did not perform conversions of dashes, smart quotes, etc. when inside pre-formatted text, both single line like `foo` and multi line like

                              ```
                              bar
                              ```

                              If that is too difficult,…

                                • Like/Thumbsup/Ditto option on individual messages

                                  A lot of times within a flow, many users will want to say the same thing or agree with what's already been said or say they liked what somebody said in a flow. It'd would really cut down noise if we could give the users within the flow an ability to like/thumbsup/Ditto to indicate their agreement with a given message. This will prevent users from saying the same thing again.

                                  • Save (or do not reset) window position when Windows client restarts.

                                    Currently most windows applications will remember their window position (including which monitor they were on) when they close and will re-open in the same place when they restart.

                                    However the flowdock client always 'resets' itself and opens in the middle of the primary monitor.

                                    In a multiple-monitor setup I have a 3rd monitor in 'portrait' orientation that I use primarily for Flowdock, it would be great if it would remember that I had moved the application here, and re-open there.

                                    This would also benefit anyone else using more than one monitor, or those who use one monitor but like their…

                                    • Long Threads

                                      Flowdock is awesome - until a thread gets long and takes over the whole rooms screen. It would be great if the thread could stay as 1 line that moves to the front as a new comment is made and then a number could increment on the side - this way you could still see the multiple topics going on within a room!

                                        Add the option, for the admins of an organization, to merge multiple flows and preserve flows' history.
