  +1 for this. Limiting the time in which you can edit is perfectly acceptable (if not preferred).

  Yeah, it's scary when you have a lot of flows open in tabs, and you write in the wrong one. Delete or edit would be great.

  This is quite an important feature as we have a flow which our clients are in...

  Sometimes I have a brain fart and dump messages into the wrong flow, it would be vital to be able to have the option to delete your own chat message, event if there is only a 15 min opportunity or so do so...

  Please implement like other popular tools. You can edit your comments for 15 minutes. After that it isn't possible.

  Come on, it's not very friendly towards the user to force people spam the chat with messages correcting typos in earlier posts. Shouldn't be that hard to add..

  In skype I believe you can do something like this:

  s/foobar/fubar

  Which would replace "foobar" in your previous message with "fubar". While I've not tried this myself (so not sure if I have the syntax right) many of my colleagues rave about the feature as it allows them to quickly repair typos without needing to move the mouse or keyboard focus to an "Edit" link on their previous comment.

  How about a sed-like syntax for this that'd affect only the previous message? E.g. s/foo/foobar/g

  I'm shocked that this isn't an option. Annoyingly, it seems like I can't delete the default messages that got pulled in by default following the flowdock twitter account...
